Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using services operated by OpenMind AI, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), including Your Life, the Game™ and related programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Your Life, the Game™. By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 13 years of age or older. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and is supervising your use of the Service.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at .

Description of Services

OpenMind AI provides behavior-change programs designed to help people build awareness and break unhelpful habit loops through evidence-based techniques. Your Life, the Game™ is an interactive program that may include guided exercises, AI-assisted chat practices, progress tracking, local reminders, optional SMS check-ins, and community features. Specific features available to you depend on the version of the Service you use (for example, the free iOS app versus a paid program) and on the choices you make.

AI-Generated Content

Your Life, the Game uses third-party large-language-model ("LLM") providers (currently OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) to generate responses during chat practices such as Morning Play, Evening Play, the Mind Gym, and Gremlin Is Here Now. When you send a message, the relevant portion of the conversation is transmitted to one of these providers so a response can be returned. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this content is handled.

AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Do not treat them as professional advice. AI responses are not, and must not be relied upon as, medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating any AI output before acting on it.

Reporting harmful or inappropriate AI output. If an AI response feels harmful, unsafe, or wrong, please email with the date and approximate time of the conversation, the practice you were doing, and what the AI said. We review every report and use it to tune our safeguards.

We prohibit attempts to use the Service to generate content that violates our Acceptable Use rules, including content that is illegal, that sexualizes minors, that targets a person or group with hate or harassment, or that provides instructions for self-harm or violence.

Our programs are educational tools and are NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Our programs do not provide medical or mental health treatment
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns

Your Life, the Game™ is intended for users 13 years of age or older. If you are under 18, please use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

Subscription and Payment

The Your Life, the Game iOS app is offered free of charge. If, in the future, we offer paid plans or in-app purchases, the following terms apply to those plans:

  • Paid plans are billed according to the plan you select and the platform you purchase through
  • Purchases made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple and governed by Apple’s standard terms; you can manage or cancel them in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Purchases made directly through us are processed by our payment provider
  • You may cancel a recurring plan at any time through the platform you used to purchase it
  • Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its refund policy. Refunds for purchases made directly through us are provided in accordance with our refund policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Copy, distribute, or reproduce program content
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass or harm other users in community features
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the AI features to generate content that is illegal, that sexualizes minors, that targets a person or group with hate or harassment, that infringes intellectual-property rights, or that provides instructions for self-harm or violence
  • Attempt to circumvent the safety measures of the AI features, including by prompt injection, jailbreaking, or impersonating the system

Intellectual Property

All content, including videos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by OpenMind AI, Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Trademarks

"Your Life, the Game," "YLtG," and associated logos are trademarks of OpenMind AI, Inc. All other trademarks referenced herein are the property of their respective owners. Use of our trademarks without prior written permission is prohibited.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenMind AI, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services.

Termination and Account Deletion

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by opening the app, going to Profile, and tapping Delete account. Deletion is immediate and removes your progress, conversations, and saved gremlins. You may also email from the address on your account and we will process the deletion. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.

SMS Messaging (Program Participants)

The free Your Life, the Game iOS app does not send SMS messages. If you participate in a broader OpenMind AI program that includes SMS check-ins and you opt in to receive SMS messages, you agree to receive text messages related to Your Life, the Game™. Messages may include:

  • Session reminders and check-in prompts
  • Progress updates and milestone notifications

You may receive up to 2 messages per day while enrolled in the program.

By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive SMS messages, you consent to receive automated text messages from OpenMind AI at the number provided.

How to Opt Out of SMS

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile Information Privacy

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes. Your phone number and messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.
